Is Carbon Fibre ok in Salt water?

3 of the shafts in my powerheads have rusted and im having trouble finding ceramic replacements. I can get a carbon fibre rod from a hobby shop. would that be ok to use in my tank?

Yes, it is perfectly fine, 2 of my modded MJ's have carbon fiber shafts, makes them quieter also.

Don't see any potential problem since main component is carbon atoms along with plastic. Activated charcoal is mainly carbon.
