retro fit mh ques.

hello all,

im looking to get some metal halides from hello lighting. im going to hello lighting and looking to get this
Details

175W (M137) Metal Halide Retrofit Kit ~Pulse Start
Price $99.95

i have no experience with mh so im starting out cheap for a while and then going from there. what is the diffrence from pulse start and probe start? what kind of light bulbs should i go for? aal comments/suggestions welcome just keep in mind im starting out cheap and have no experience with these,yet!

pulse is better. can fire bulbs more easily, means more bulb options.

xm 10k, ushio 10k, xm 20k, in that order from white to blue depending what you want. leave the xm15k out of the mix.

areze thanx for the info. are the blue ones the 20k or are they more of a white then the 10k.

I installed 2 of the 250w DE systems with ARO ballasts and Reeflux 10k bulbs from Hellolights. Very happy with the equipment but I'm now thinking of switching to 12k's for a bit more blue.
