I am ashamed and know that I have to do something more with it, but, unfortunately it gets sent down the drain. I have a septic system though, so, it eventually waters my lawn.

mine goes to a 45 gallon Brute. then we use it to water plants and top off the pond. My son also uses it as top off for his fresh water tank.

Stored in two big trash cans, used for plants, flushing toilet, wife's flower garden, kid's squirt guns in the summer, etc., if the cans are full it goes down the drain(I have a septic also, but probably waters more of my neighbors lawn(downhill). I also have a well, so we try to save or reuse whatever we can.

I think - if one pays for water they will find someway to use it. If you are a renter or dont pay for water the temptation to flush it dowe the drain is iresisitable

Since the RO unit is in the laundry room, we use the waste water for laundry, as well as watering plants, topping off fresh water aquariums.

I'd heard not to drink it as the elements you don't want in your SW tank are concentrated inteh waste water. Still, I figure it's filtered, ought to be better than tap...
