A BIG Idea
Hello my fellow Reefers!
Are you interested in large scale fish keeping? Have you ever wanted to work in a public aquarium? Are you interested in the daily goings on of a public aquarium? Would you be interested in contributing on design and construction of a large (> 100 m^3 (25,000 gal)) public aquarium project? Would you like to remotely contribute in the care, husbandry and treatments of a system you were assigned the "curator" of, or as part of a team? Do you think there is a gap between public aquarium display and the types of home aquariums, in terms of attention to detail and planning? Do you think that there is a lot of knowledge and experience within the home aquarist community that would benefit public aquarium displays, especially attention to detail of husbandry of particular species? If you said yes to any of these questions then stay tuned for more information in the following weeks! Meanwhile, go ahead and answer the following questions! What part of public aquariums interests you most? If you could, in what way would you like to (or how could you) contribute to the daily running of a public aquarium. If you had access to unlimited perfect water quality and choice of species (including invertebrates/corals) what display would interest you most?

Wow sounds like some cool is coming up.
What part of public aquariums interests you most? The behind the scenes, what runs them. Lighting, filters, water changes and acquiring new fish/corals. If you could, in what way would you like to (or how could you) contribute to the daily running of a public aquarium. I think in the day to day aspect, there isn't much I wouldn't be able to handle. Being a manager I feel that I would do well running the aquarium and being a hobbiest I would want to have a share in every aspect. From cleaning, feeding, check lists to make sure everything is working right etc. If you had access to unlimited perfect water quality and choice of species (including invertebrates/corals) what display would interest you most? Massive mixed reef tank.
