Sure Flo Mods on MJ1200

I just put in two MJ1200's with the Sure Flo Mod on either side of tank facing each other and left one Koralia 3 in the back facing front.
I went from about 1700 gph to about 5000gph in a 75 gallon tank. It looks like a hurricane.
Should I put the smaller propeller on the mod instead of the bigger one? That would make each PH 1600 gph instead of 2100gph each.

ideally the flow should be between 1500 and 3000 gph in your tank(20-40 times the tank vol in gph)
I would suggest you remove one of the moded mj1200 and run one mod 1200 plus the koralia three giving you 2100 plus 800 or 2900 gph---right on the high of the preferred scale.
Alot of lps corals do not like that kind of flow (5000 gph)

Ok, great. Will do. Should I run them pointing at each other on opposite ends of the tank or the mod on the side and Koralia 3 on the back pointing towards the front?

I'd run the smaller props, and stick one MJ on each end.

Pitch the K3 (well don't literally toss it, but keep it on hand just in case you have a dead zone you need to take care of).

You could also pick up a wave timer to alternate the MJ's so it's not a constant blast from both ends.

I've done just as suggested above, 1 MJmod and 1 K3 in my 75. Really like the flow but I have another MJmod I'm considering replacing the K3 with. Might try it and see how things go.

As Tswifty suggested--if you put the mods on an interval timer then you can get away with alot more flow in the tank.

I just put the K3 on the back wall facing front and MJmod on the right side and the flow looks great. I think I'll stick with this for now.
Thanks Twsifty and Cap'n for your help!!

that's a good idea--it will change up the laminar flow(staight line) produced by the mj power heads.
