Coraline Remover

Looking for tips on how to remove a crapload of coraline algae. I've got a 300g acrylic tank I'm going to be using as a multi-stage filter/refugium for my 550g glass tank and I'd like to eliminate the 5yrs of coraline which has accumulated on the back and sides. I'd really like to be able to do this without scratching the heck out of the tank.

Any thoughts other than CLR or Lime-a-Way? I'd really like to not kill the 30+ fish and 30+ corals in the tank.

DONT USE CLR!!!
assuming the tank is currently empty use white vinegar and a credit card.
Im not sure of the proper ratio of vinegar and water.. but I know it works.

The tank is acrylic... No razors unless you want scratches.

If it is empty vinegar will do the trick. But will need to soak in and will need some elbow grease. What doesn't come right off needs to soak in vinegar some more. And then some more for an acrylic tank. Takes lotsa patience and vinegar. But WILL come off and look new if you don't scratch it first. Don't scrape it hard even with a plastic blade. Let the vinegar work it's magic.

Not sure if Muriatic acid is safe with acrylic. Maybe someone else can chime in.

But Vinegar will only change the PH slightly if not rinsed completely away. It won't kill your pets! I add a small amount of vinegar to my Kalkwasser for years...
