ACjR or RK2

I need a controller and want to know which is better or if they are the same. ACjR or the Rk2.

My questions are

Can the ACjR connect to more than one DC8
Can the ACjR connect to a pc so I can program it.

Thanks

The ACJR will connect to a DC8 and a DC4, but not two DC8's.
The ACJR will connect to a PC if you buy the controller with a serial port. You'll need the serial cable as well.

So you get up to 4 extra outlets with the ACjr.

Both are fine. Someone once said:

If your DVR is flashing 12:00 - Get a RK
If its not - Get an Aquacontroller

RK2 - 1 dc8, easy to prgram.
ACJR 1 dc8, 1dc4, little harder, but more options.

Not that it helps now, but.

The RK2 will connect to 1 - 8 outlet power strip, + 1 - 2 outlet exp socket power strip.

So

ACjr = 12 outlets
RK2 = 10 outlets.

Just wanted to clear that up.

I had the ACjr and I'm glad I got rid of it. I now have the RKE and very much happier. DA's support over Neptune's is 10x better IMO.

I am a first time RK2 & aquarium controller owner/user. It's amazing all the things you can do with one... I would never dream of owning an aquarium with out one anymore.

Someone once told me the RK2 was so much easier to program and deal with than the ACJr. I chose the RK2, and it does every thing I could dream of doing on my tank.

I highly recommend it - but it appears the original poster has already made his decision.
