Question Plusrite Bulbs

Has anyone ever used PLUSRITE bulbs? I have 2 250W14K bulbs that I got from ebay! So far they seem really nice! Just was curious if anyone had ever used them before!! They tell me that they are very close the the12K Reeflux bulbs! Any info on this would be WONDERFUL!

I have a friend who used them, and they totally suck! He uses XM 10k's now, HUGE difference. Cheap bulbs, but I would replace them every couple months if I were you.

I tried them just to see how they would do! I am going to look into the XM's and see how they are too!

I have all the 175W SI bulbs from Plusrite. The 10K's aren't bad. They are white and with a good reflector they grow some corals well. The 14K isn't bad and i'm using two 20K in my Lumamax reflectors. The bulbs have great color they just are a fraction of the strength. If your going to be running them use the 10K with actinic supp. A friend of mine does this and grows the crap out of some softies and a few acros.

Yeah, the 14K is my favorite out of the three. They do make good back up bulbs!
