Noisy pump in sump, how to insulate?

My Mag 7 was running pretty quiet for the the first few days, but now its pretty noisy. What do you guys use to insulate it from rattling and making noise?

You can try a ziplock bag with sand in it underneath the pump

I use 4 drops of silicone. makes it pretty much dead silent. Others use a mousepad.

+1 for an411.

I used the sand bag with my mag 12 and it really cut down on the vibrations.

Is it hard plumbed? I went to vinyl tubing after the initial PVC coming off the pump and mine has been really quite since then.

Nope, vinyl tubing, and it's not terribly loud, but loud enough to be an annoyance especially since the tank is in my living room.

I used some foam matting that you put in kitchen drawers under mine (n-o-t the kind with antibacterial coating)...had it laying around the house and worked fine.
