TEK vs TX5 aquatinics
Will an aquatinics 36†TX5 perform better than a 36†tek 6 bulbs?

The aquatinics has better reflectors and also has active cooling both of which will make it outperformthe tek light.

But is one bulb less, so Im not sure if the reflectors will make up for 1 bulb

It's not just the reflectors, but those are important. The TX5 is also actively cooled, while the Tek is not. T5's put out more PAR when cooled.
That said, I chose a tek over the TX5 for two reasons: price and flexibility. The extra bulb gives a few more color combinations. |

I know about active cooling, my TEK has active cooling. I modified it and it has 2 fans blowing in and 1 blowing air out, so maybe I should just keep it.
