Clam and Calcium Reactor
Is it a must that you have a calcium reactor when having clams? Or can you just dose. I have a 29gal tank.

Depending on how many clams you have (or planning to) and what else is in your tank (total calcium demand). If it is just 1-2 clams (and they are not huge), additional dosing should be ok. I have three clams and just dose with calcium when it is low and they are fine. (Make sure you monitor the alk though, it needs to be in the correct range too).
