feeding a hitch hiking clam
Hi there,
I recently got a new zoo colony, and there are a couple clams in the colony, and the big one is half covered in zoos: Just wondering if it's possible to keep these clams alive long term, and what they will prefer to eat? Thanks, Tim

hey that's pretty sweet. to feed, phytoplankton, alive or paste. Would probably eat the small coral feed as well.

Are they more herbivorous then? My homemade fish food has some really fine stuff in it that the corals love, but its mostly all animal-based (clams, scallops, squid, etc).
Also, will it eat detritus? I blast a lot of stuff off my rocks every few days which creates a mini detritus-storm in the tank. Tim

Where are the clams in the picture? I don't think I see them.

The zoas are growing on them...
you don't need to feed those. I have them in my tank and they seem to grow. I don't feed phyto. |
