Putting a fuge on the middle chamber of the nanocube
Hi,
I've had my nanocube 6 up for about 10 months. I want to put a fuge back there in the middle chamber, my question is how do you put a light back there strong enough to grow the chaeto? Any tips, pics, ideaS? |

I have an AP 12 and I put a fuge in one of my chambers. Here's what I did to get light back there. Basically, the black you see on the back of you tank is just a sticker. So I just took a hobby knife and traced out the size of the chamber. You only want to cut out the size of the chamber because you don't want the light to go everywhere else. And all I did for a light is use desk lamp from Walmart and made sure I bought a bulb that was 6500k. It's been running for about a month and so far so good.

I have a bio cube 29 and the black on the back of them is paint and I scraped it off, add a light similar to solitude127 with a twist fluorescent bulb at 5700k. I went 5700k because you will read the 6500k is what to use and then the bulb that out performs it is a 5100k so i went kinda in the middle. you will find the 5100k bulb on melev's reef. I agree so far so good.
