CoRPS' 20L AIO Tank
So I posted this in the DIY forum but I'm going to switch it over to this section of the forums.
It all started out with a sketchup design: I went out and bought the 20L on 10/22/08: I had the guy at Lowe's cut me out acrylic. Turns out I needed more and had to cut some more myself. Cuts perfectly on a tablesaw btw! I was worried it would melt the acrylic. Started putting together the false wall on 11/11/08. Mockup: Teeth cut and weld-on applied: Baffles being mounted: Finished wall: I painted it and siliconed it in on 11/12/08. Test fit: 5m after applying silicone: Water tested on 11/13/08 |

This might just be the angle I am looking at but are the teeth for the overflow below the trim line? Is yes, your water level will be lower than the trim on the tank...
Might just be the angle of the picture... Great looking start though. I subscribed to see how this project works out.

It is much lower. I'm not going to have the water from the display fall into the fuge it's going to flow through it. I've already water tested it and it flows exactly like I want it to
Thanks for your concern though |

So tonight's the first night I've done anything to the 20L in a while. I put a bunch more rock on the rockwall, I'm almost done and the rest will be put together with the pond foam. I made a bunch of nice ledges to put coral on. It's looking good.

Alright got a PC fixture for my tank(Siscim23). 2x65W. One is 12,000K and the other is actinic. It also has 4 lunar LED's. Looks great! Classes are ending this week, and then one final next week so I should have a lot of time to get the tank started. Hopefully it will have water by the new year.

Here's how the legs work, it's actually pretty cool and allows for the light to be opened up similar to a hood.
Here's a night shot of the lunar lights. Pretty cool lookin. |
