Exclamation New Tang Not Doing Well ! Help Please!

Hello I would like some help with a new tang of mine,

water parameters are all spot on except for a water temp a bit too cool (heater failed last night) so it is sitting around 74 F.

I acclimated a new Kole Tang last night for around 1.5hrs and he seemed fine last night, spending time hiding in the rocks.

This morning he is laying on his side in the sand... still alive but not upright. At the moment the only other inhabitants are another tang (not sure on exact ID, he is new also and was likely labelled wrong at the store) and a scooter blenny.

What should I do?

Please and thank you for any help.

I moved him off of the sand gently and now the fish is swimming around... not very strongly though.

Now is upright behind some rocks after about 5 mins of swimming.

Unfortunately you’ll have to wait it out. That is a little cool. See how it acts when it warms up. Do not bring the temp up to fast. Is there any sign of damage?

No sign of damage. Just a little pale.

The temp is coming up... not too fast though - small heater and about 100G of water.

Ah, waiting is brutal... But probably best. I don't want to further stress the fish.

Thanks Dave.

Id say around a 95% death rate with those symptoms, but I could be off by 5%.

Too late.

He is gone. For the sake of wasting nothing he has become S. Haddoni food.

What went wrong?

I would love ideas....

What type of tang was the other tang? How much room do they have? If they are similiar in shape, they will pound eachother unless in the largest of tanks.

It also could've been doubly stressed by the new tank and cool temperature. It could have been mishandled prior to sale.
