few new questions from a newbie
Hello, I had a few questions about keeping a marine tank, sine i´ve never kept one before. i have kept fresh though.
but to start, i have a 10 gallon tank with which i want to do this. so besides that i need a protei skimmer, heater, what about filters? can i use a internal filter like this http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA280_.jpg but with a different medium? or is it anough to just have the live rock? should i use carbonfilters or just leave that out? I want to start very small, first with the life rock and maybe some shrimps, crabs... things like that. what type of lamps should i use for this? thanks! Eamonn |

Well the live rock is your biological filtration. You can use a seperate filter for added water flow and for the ability to run carbon. If you aren't going to be growing coral, you don't need anything special for lighting
