Twin Spot or Diamond Goby

Hi All,

I am looking for a good sand sifting goby... the LSF here has a twin spot goby (really small 1") or a Diamond Goby (approx 3") for the same price (19.99) I am wondering which will be a better choice. I really like the coloring on the twin spot but I think the diamond may be more efficient since it is larger.

Which one should I go with? Any personal experience with either??

FYI the tank does have a canopy with additional egg crate to help prevent jumping...

I think they are equal in sand sifting abilities. I would watch them and see how they behave and act around the other fishes in the tank as well as how it sifts the sand. Some gobies will take a mouthful of sand and then swim a few inches off the sandbed then let spit it out which will start to cover and corals or LR you may have. Their are others that will sift closer to the sand and not make a mess of things.

I bought a goby that just hides all the time, doesn't sift any sand.

Well I picked up the Two Spot Goby yesterday and he is in the QT tank. Just a little guy at just over 1" long.

Do Goby's require the same QT process as other fish? I heard that they have a resistance to ich so they are less likly to have the parasite. I just don't like the idea of not going through the QT process. I don't see spots but I did on another fish that was in the same bank of tanks as this one was.
