I fill mine once a year and it's 10lbs. It's on a Deltec reactor, so it pushes through a LOT of CO2 over that year.

I'm still on my first 10 lbs CO2 tank. It has been running for a little over a year. I did shut it down for a few weeks.

Recently I've only been able to get a couple pounds of CO2 in my 5 pound tank, and it lasts about 2-3 months.

I no longer use a calc reactor. I do automatic daily water changes instead and supplement that water instead. More dependable and I have much more stable tank systems. I had prevoiusly used about the same amount of carbon dioxide as ithers, but quit using welding supply gas as it caused alfae problems that I did not have with gas provided by soda distributers. To much iron in the gas I got from welding supply stores. I used so little gas that the difference in price was worth the getting the more expensive purer/cleaner gas. A couple dollars a month is worth it to do away with an algae problem. My macro lage in my sumps doid like the welding supply gas better though.
