V2 Skim 120 Nano Protein Skimmer

Hi there,
I setup my V2 120 Nano Skimmer last night on my Seahorse tank (currently cycling) and it was very noisy and it was sending out loads of microbubbles into the tank. I went by everything that the instructions said eg have the water outlet 1cm below the water level. I had to turn it off as it was sooo noisy! SO i turned it back on this morning and left it running, and when i came back home it was exactly the same, noisy and bubbly...but there was some dirty water in the collection cup.
Any ideas???
