Calcium reactor with external ph probe !

I have deltec pf509 calcium reactor

Its design to run without ph controller !

If i wont to run it with ph controller where did you advice me to put ph probe and how ?

PF509 does not come with a compression fitting in the lid for a ph probe IIRC. In that case your only alternative, short of drilling you unit and installing a compresion fitting, is to make a drip cup for your sump and let your effluent drain into the cup, which would hold the probe, and overflow into your sump.

I have used these many times and they are easy to build. Here is a pic of a somewhat more finished unit that will give you the idea.




I have used plastic cups held with a makeshift hanger before. You would drill the bottom and insert a hard plastic airline tube up into the cup about an inch. The effluent drains out through that tube, but always leaving an inch in the cup for your ph probe to set in.
