Fun with SketchUp

Just planning out my first reef tank.

46 Gallon bowfront going to be drilled and plumbed for a "coast to coast" style overflow, dual 30" 96W PC lights, (I know everyone says get T5 but I have these already) DIY Sump w/ red sea berlin venturi skimmer and ViaAqua 4900 return pump ~1000 GPH

What do you think?

wheres the overflow, if the return pump pumps too much water into the tank i would have thought an overflow linked back to the sump would be a good idea to stop the water flowing over the top of the tank, well just a thought

Interesting... what made you decide on the horizontal PVC overflow?

I've read that thread, and almost tried it out... I just think that it would be a pain for maintenance or cleaning If you do end up using it, you'll have to let us know how it turns out.

The overflow is the pipe going across the top of the tank with all the holes drilled in it connected to the pipes that run down the back of the tank and into the sump.
