Diatoms will go away on there own in a week or two. It's normal in a new tank.

This is just a guess but, while you were rearranging you likely stirred your sand a bit and released buried silicates into the water column along with some other goodies. Everytime I have transferred a tank or have done some moderate rearranging I got a diatom outbreak. It always went away in a week or so. I guess once the diatoms used up the available silicates.
