Octopus Xtreme 200 problem

I bought an Octopus Xtreme 200 about 4-6 weeks ago. I have not done the mesh mod however the parts were included in the box. Do these pictures look right to you? It seems to be getting enough air but the bubbles dont really foam that much, in fact these pictures are the best foam its ever had. Any thoughts?

The airline is not kinked, if you asking about the line in the picture its the drain for the skimate that I had tied in a knot (now plugged). The skimmer is sitting in 9.2" of water. 8-10'' is what the is the skimmer calls for.

In the pics supplied it looks like its perking a lil on the dry side but producing a good foam head.
