How fast do blue tangs grow?

LFS has one thats about 3/4 inch long, how many inches do these things grow in the first couple of months/years?

They grow to as much as 12inches. A 29 g is much too small forany tang.

Not a good addition, they can put on many inches in a year (though surely it depends on your husbandry).

In a 29g Nano? it wouldn't grow much, it would die of stress, they like to swim a lot, and in a Nano there's not much space for that.

The LFS here has a blue tang in a 24g (I think it's 24g), it's ridiculous.

Mine grew about 5-6 inches in 2 years or so. I had to trade him in because he was nipping my LPS and zoanthids.
