RO/DI unit making sputtering noises every min or so

Lately, I have been getting a sputtering noise out of my RO/DI. The unit sits on the ground and travels up to a bucket for a drip. I have a plastic float valve - could it be this? Maybe it's gone bad over the years. Unit is a Purely h20 4 stage Professional, and about 3.5 years old. Just recently replaced all the filters and casings.

Thanks!

P.S. When the sputtering occurs, the pressure gauge jumps for a moment with the sputter.

When you replaced the filters, did you make sure to tighten all the canisters?

I don't know just throwing ideas out there.

possibly could be building up air. If there is a leak it might be possible for air to enter after you turn the unit off and the water pressure starts to drop. Also If the local water company is doing any work on the system air can enter the lines as well. As long as the water is good, I wouldnt worry about it.

Pick the unit up while it is operating and turn it all different directions to release any trapped air in the housings.
