What is this Ballast ?

I just obtained two almost new HPS1000 ballast sold by Sunlight Supply INC. I am searching for info on them, but not sure what I have. Anyone that can help me with info about them?

OK, it looks like these are High Pressure Sodium ballast. I have found a link to a possible conversion to MH. Any electrictions or people who know something about this that can offer any help?
The Ballast were free so I hate to trash them.
