Iwasaki 150w MH lamps: 20k vs. 50K?

I'm going to be setting up a new tank shortly where it will have 2 150w MH lamps.

How do the 2 Iwasaki 150's compare to each other?

I take it these lamps aren't big sellers...

are you going to supplement the light? have you seen 20k bulb pics? they are pretty blue.

I don't know about the Iwasaki 20k,but the 50k was one of my favorite bulbs when I used to run 150 watt bulbs. It has a nice blue actinic cast, not to overly blue.

Yes I've seen 20ks, just not the Iwasakis in either 20k or 50k.

Ideally on this tank I'd like to go with just a pair of 150s, but if I feel its necessary I also have 2x54w T5s on hand.

Thanks Gary, I've heard its visually close to a 12K, would you say its more white or more blue than a 12K lamp?

And yes I know YMMV
