Lobophora looks to be choking duster
Will this damage it? It started with a small area and has wrapped completely around the stalk. How would you go about removing it without crushing the tube?

if its just on the tube then it shouldnt hurt it i would think? the tube isnt actually part of the worm, nor is the tube alive. ide just leave it. you could potentially do more damage removing it than leaving it. if the worm doesnt like it, it'll just bail out of the tube and make a new one else where...

Thanks Chrismunn I didn't think it was that bad but the top of the tube was starting to close or go out of round. I would hate to lose it been with the tank about 7 mths now.

yeah, when the worm becomes stressed out it'll leave the tube on its own. in some cases it will also lose its crown. no matter what happens there's not much that can be done than to let it run its course.
