Adding a canopy
I am thinking of adding a canpy to my tank. I built the stand myself, and I also built a matching canopy. They canopy weighs around 25-30 pounds. I was wondering if anyone has ever had trouble with the added weight on top of their tanks causing leaks or any other problem. I have a 48" 75 gallon tank. Thanks

I've personally never seen or even heard of the weight of a canopy doing anything harmful to a tank. I think you'll be fine with one

My canopy probably weighs closer to 50-60lbs, and while it's on a 150 gallon setup, I didnt think twice about putting it on there. I wouldnt be worried about it.

No trouble at all. I have the same tank as you, and my canopy probably weighs about 30 pounds. I wouldn't worry about it at all.

30 lbs is the equivalent of, what, like four and a half gallons of water?
Yeah, your tank can take it.
