Home Depot Epoxy Putty

Has anyone used this stuff? It's called Aquamend Underwater Repair epoxy putty. It's cheaper than the other stuff you buy in the LFS, but I was wondering whether this stuff is safe in the tank or not. It comes in a smaller tube than the "official" tank safe stuff at the LFS.

Does anyone have any experience with this stuff? What about "mighty putty" sold by that highly obnoxious guy on TV?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Herb

I use the stuff from HD and it works great! I have read of others using the stuff off of tv with no problems to. I also read that all three are the same thing.

I've used dozens of packs of aquamend, it's safe. I've always needed to use super glue gel to help it stick though.

I used to use Aquamend but for some reason the local HD doesn't carry it anymore. I used both Aquamend and Mighty putty for some reason I liked the Aquamend better.

Its works just fine. Beware that it may make your skimmer misbehave for a couple days.
