actinic and MH light schedule

have a 250w MH with 2 34w actinics...what schedule do you run them on? are they ran opposite or what. i know the MH should only be ran 8-9 hours. but have no clue on the actinics.

My actinics come on about a hour before the mh's and stay on about an hour after.
