A few up to date pics.

I just did some much needed cleaning and a small water change so I snapped a few pics. 16 months and counting. Getting a little crowed but all in all most things get along pretty well so far.

If anyone wants a piece of the branching monti top right just let me know. Ive got to much of it.

Capt, Ive had the PBT for a year now at least. Hands down my favorite fish in the ocean. He thinks he is boss of the tank but the sail fin and maroon clown dont take no crap from him at all. He is like a bully with out anyone to bully. He does try though but doesnt get him very far.

I was glad to see that you can see the bangii babies in the pics. I knew youd get a kick out of seeing them Dave. They are getting big fast. I see them grow a little bit every day.

Looks nice, not crowded at all. How old is the orange monti cap in the center, I like the shape it is forming.

It wasnt much bigger than a 1" square piece when I set the tank up. 16 months ago.

Everything in the tank was a small frag when the tank was first set up as a matter of fact. I transfered my old 55 to this tank but nothing grew very well in it.

I really have no idea. I assume its my lights. They are XM 10k 250's. He wasnt always so light. When I got him he was a deaper red. He looks and acts fine so I can only think its my lighing. My hammer is lighter than I think he should be as well but he is and has been doing fine.

"Edit"
It is possible after giving it a few more minutes thought that a heat issue this past summer was the cause. I at least thought so at the time. But I dont think Ill ever know why unless it colors back up. And it may.

Looks terrific Ryan! I love the mixed reef look. I agree, I think the PBT is one of the most beautiful fish and they are loaded with personality. They are a difficult fish until they adapt to the tank and are initially very susceptible to Ich. However once adapted they are good for the long haul. I've had mine for 3 years now and he is a fat beast.

I have been so very fortunate. I have never had a problem with ich. It scares me to death when adding a new fish. Id hate to not be able to say that any more. I love my tangs and am glad to have gotten them ich free. I am pretty much done adding fish for that reason alone.

The 3 bangiis took the last spots in the tank and as long as there are no deaths any time soon Im done adding fish..

I got him from saltwaterfish.com. I highly recomend them as a good place to get fish. Always healthy. So far that is.

Nice looking tank... tomorrow I'm planning on doing some maintenance on my tank and will get some shots. I also just some extension tubes for my lenses so I can do some micro shots.

I would love some of the monti.

You came to the right place. Everything Ive learned came from the folks on RC. Unlike you, I my self didnt know about RC before I started. Because of that I had to redo everything after seeing the many many mistakes I made the first time around. You are already ahead of where I was when I first started.

After the clean I find my self with several frags of it. Its a fragil coral but fast grower. I believe thats why its so fast. Doesnt waste time making its self thick. Sent you a pm.

Thanks Nate,
A few things out grew the rocks I had them mounted on. Thats why the hamer and fropgspawn in front are on white rocks. They got top heavy and needed larger bases. So off to CC for some of that base rock they have. Found a few nice looking pieces. They are so much happier now that they arent falling over all the time and have more room to grow.

Nice tank! Did all the coral start out as frags when you started the tank?

Only the brain and the long tentical plate came to me the size they are now. Everything else was a frag.

The long Tentical plate has gotten bigger since ive had it but It wasnt what I would call a frag. Nor was the brain. All the sps and lps started out as small pieces when I set up the tank. The frogspawn in the lower right was 1 head 16 months ago.

Hey Jeremy, how have you been? Hows your tank coming? Any pics?
You for sure have followed my tanks progress. Being one of only a few who saw it when I first set it up. It was a large frag tank.
And yes It looks alot different in person. My camera really is a POS!!!
Youll have to stop down some time. You havent been over in a while.

Thanks Gary, Yup the Helio is doing great. Easy coral to care for as it turns out. I dont really do much of anything special for it. All but stoped directly target feeding it. I do at times try and direct some mysys twards it but other than that, it gets what it can on its own.

LMAO It was to small the day I brought it home. It will have to do tho for at least a little while. I dont see a larger one in my near future. It is and will remain survival of the fittest in my tank. Ill try and and stave off major fights but the best growers will and do claim the room that is avaliable. First come first serve.
