Flow in a 6 foot tank?

I'm in the planning stage for a new set up. Its going to be an inwall set up and at least 6 feet in length, most likely a 180. The overflows will be in the corners.

The tank will house primarily SPS so higher flow is needed. Sadly I dont have money falling out of bodily orfices, so there are budget constraints. Total system volume would be around 250 ish gallons, and I still need to buy a skimmer, so an affordable design would be appreciated. My other requirement is that whatever creates the flow needs to have redundancy/flexibility. IE, if one thing goes out, I dont want to be hosed. I want to be able to replace the offending part with a minimum of fuss and be able to get things back into action.

Currently, I'm leaning towards the
gyre style for flow. Basically, the flow is designed to run in a racetrack pattern, with the concept being more flow being generated since the water has the ability to pick up momentum and move all the water in the tank as opposed to just a small localized portion of it.

Right now, I'm thinking of running an Iwaki 55RLT as the tank return, hooked up to a penductor or two. The penductor would push the water along the front of the tank, with two Tunze 6000's shooting along the back wall in the opposite direction.

Thoughts, comments, suggestions????? Lemme hear them folks!

Nick

If I'm blessed to get a 6 footer someday - I'm picking up some of the K-Magnums.
