Help! Copperband Butterfly tail rot ( pics inside)

I have had this CBB over 10 months. It eats bunch of frozen food, even eats from my hand. There was a small white spot on its tail two days ago, this morning 30% of its tail was gone, and the fish does not eat as much as usual. Should I treat it with Maracyn II in hospital tank? Any suggestion is appreciated, thank you.

If relocation to Q/t is possibe, do so. You may find my suggestion odd, even though Maracyn I would work (I is erythromyacin and II is TC or its derivative)
Smear Bacitracin ointment on the both sides of tail on daily basis. Don't laugh!
i had better and faster result w/ this method than any other med that you dissove in water. Don't put too much since water and oil don't mix well. Any excess will just fall off, polluting water.
Do not do both.
Which ever you decide to do in Q/T, wish you luck!!!
