Smile Another one starting; continuing temperature

In the last year we have read a lot on your community discussion board with great interest.

In the last 4 years we had an freshwater tank. A corner tank of approx. 50 gallons. Now we want to change this tank into a marine tank.
Because of the fact we have not much space in the living room for a sump and eventually additional filtering system, I have the idea to install the sump in the garage, which is 1 floor lower. The water must be raised over a distance of about 3 meters and an horizontal distance of 3 meters as well.

I have questions about this subject.
- What kind of pump is best fitted for the job to get the water up to the display tank?
- Can I expect troubles with maintaining the right temperature in the entire system?

We would like to appeal to the massive amount of knowledge and experience present here on this forum.

Please, advice.

Arnaud
