effects of broken mh bulbs

I busted two 250w metal halide bulbs in my tank and was wondering if anybody knew what type of long term ill effects this might have?

Did you bust the outer glass or the small inner lamp? I believe only the inner lamp contains any mercury.

It should be fine after your pull out the broken glass out of your tank.

ummm, no. it won't be fine if your still running the broken bulbs.
the outer glass is your UV sheild. without it, your fish and corals could be burned by excess UV and it could give you cancer.

disregard my ramblings if you removed the bulbs...
