cleaning the nano

So I was wondering what are some of your thoughts on cleaning the nano cube. It seems there are alot of mixed feelings on it. Some say clean out 2 of the 4 chambers by rinsing off the sponge and bio balls. Also some say to remove one of the sponges and remove the bio balls and replace it with LR rubble. If anyone can throw in their 2 cents I would appriciate it.
