Can't keep sand in front center of tank, bad powerhead placement?

So i can't seem to be able to keep sand in the front center of my tank. I don't think i have that much flow, i have a pan-world 50x-x return. On the left wall i have a tunze 6100 running at max 20%, and on the right side a modded mj1200, i have a piece of plastic over the top half of the shroud to slow it down also. I still seem to have a bare spot in my tank. oh and the dimensions are 7x2x2, its a 210g. The powerheads aren't blowing directly at each other either. Anyone else battle with this or have any suggestions on how to fix the problem?

just move the powerheads and outputs around. experiment, powerheads might seem like nothing but they can seriously move water even turned down

how old is the sand? new sand tends to do this. once it gets coated, it gets a bit heavier. as stated previously, might try to angle more upwards.

Use a coarser grade sand for a top layer, and add some rubble to act like breakwaters

I have this happen in my tank too, once you find the "sweet" spot watch when you clean and replace the powerheads in the same place. Otherwise you go thru it all over again.

Sometimes the flow bounces off the sides or front; be careful where they are aimed.
