Reef safe materials

Hello,

I have a 55 g tank and just want to know if rubber bands are ok for use in a reef tank. Im using 3 small rubber bands to hold some filter "wool" on the return spouts of my hang-on filter and skimmer to reduce microbubbles.

Also, if any of you can let me know of other materials that are unsafe for a reef tank that would be great (other then the obvious: copper, windex, detergent ...)

Thanks!

rubber bands are fine as long as you didn't use them around toxic stuff

what else?
bleach, three words: it is deadly

as long as they were clean, rubberbands are fine.
