Yes but depending on the size of the outbreak there are other options

Generally, camel shrimp will not eat aptasia, but they will eat everything else as they are an indiscriminate carnivore. Peppermint shrimp, which should never be confused with camel shrimp, will eat aptasia. However, I have found kalkawasser paste on the end of a toothbrush an effective remedy for aptasia.

Yep, more likely the exception than the rule, I wouldnt expect it to happen. You're much better off with the peppermint if that's your intent.

I also agree, those shrimp are often mixed up, even though I think there is a huge visual difference between the two. But you do want peppermint shrimp and not the camels for aptasia. They will eat smaller aptasia, but they will also only really attack the anemones if there isn't a lot of extra food around the tank that they would rather eat. As stated before, some thick calcium for kalkawasser does work, just make sure you get it into the tissue, often if you just shoot it ontop of the anemone tissue it just burns and melts the tissue/tentacles but it will regenerate and possibly make more if extra tissue goes floating elsewhere.

I have had great success with multiple tanks with aiptasia but if your system is over grown, or they get too big then you have to go to multiple remidies.

I too once thought camel shrimp were a good solution for aptaisia, I was wrong.

Joe's jiuce is the best and easiest solution for aptaisia eradication i have run across.
