Pan-world 50Px-x correct plumbing size?

I have 1 inch plumbing going into the pump then out is 1 inch split to 2 3/4 lines. My question is, am i "choking" my pump. I would love to redo the plumbing on it but my only problem is the hole is already drilled in the sump with one identical right next to it. The only think i could think of to do is to patch the current holes and drill a new, bigger one. The sump is acrylic btw. imma take some pictures as soon as the batteries are charged

I had purchased a used acrylic sump a while back that had a couple of holes where I didn't want them. I just put bulkheads in the holes and threaded PVC plugs into the bulkheads. Seemed easier than trying to weld in acrylic plugs. As far as choking the pump, I'm not really sure. I run the 50PX-X as a return, but it's 1" spaflex pipe all around.

Bulkheads with a plug would probably be less of a headache trying to glue another piece of acrylic to it. If you have glued acrylic before with success great. It can be difficult though if you don't get a solid bond the first time. Getting enough glue into a pinhole leak is not always easy.

If the holes are placed ok already, they make a hole saw that will drill an existing hole larger. You would attach a pilot the same size as the existing hole and the hole saw for the new size around that. The pilot keeps the hole saw from moving around.
