Lightbulb Flow & water turnover purely from return pump??

For example if i had a display tank of 50g and a 20g sump, and used a return pump with a rating of 1050 gp/h, returning to several points on the aquarium, this turn my water over 15 times an hour, (hypothetically obviously, i haven't allowed for flow reduction from elbows etc.) would i get away with that for water movement/turnover? Or would any1 recommend additional powerheads??
any help grealy appreciated but if this comes across as completely ridiculous to the experienced, please dont slate me
i'm kind of new

That is a very common way of setting up a system. It is not the most efficient due to head loss, but perfectly acceptable.

If you do not want power heads in the tank, then consider a small return pump and a large closed loop pump. The prefered method for a Closed Loop is to drill the tank, but over the top plumbing can be used also.

Don't know why i didn't think of that, thankyou . You will think im stupid now but by closed loop i assume you mean using a pump to draw water from the tank and returning it back to the tank via the same pump? If so i could see how alot of pipework would result of it.

No questions are stupid

Yes, drawing water from the same body it is returned to eliminates head pressure

A lot of pipe? I guess that depends on how you setup the closed loop. Check out oceansmotions.com, the products are top notch.

Here is a simple closed loop system.

I have something that is similar, but I use a Poseidon P-4 that returns to 2 sea-swirls.

I also return my two pumps to three seaswirls. I have added penductor/eductors to each seaswirl to increase their flow:
