filter

im going to start a 14 gallon tank would a fluval 205 caniter filter and an elite stingray pump and several live rock and live sand be enough filteratioon??

Yes and no. Canister and cartridge filters will "work," but you need to keep them clean so they don't end up becoming waste teabags that degrade water quality. Ideally, you should remove all the plates, sponges and filter media and replace them with a simple bag of carbon or nothing at all. In the end, they will serve more as circulation and water polishers than "filters."
