i know, another n3wb ICH concern
a general question about ich. If you have ONE fish in your DT that picks up ich, you QT and cure that ONE fish while your other fish remain in the DT. Seeing as how the other fish remain in the DT with the parasites, even if they are immune and the ONE fish is now cured, wont any new fish(or eventually the current non infected fish) get the ich without emptying the fish for ~6ish weeks?? Im assuming all fish would need put in a QT for at least 6 weeks to fully cure the problem...???
All my fish have been fine until i added my imperator angel and he got spotty, so i have treated him and dont understand how he could stay ich free if i put him back into the same tank he got it from. Also makes me wonder if any new fish i buy would become infected. FWIW he never showed any signs other than the white spots/ film. he eats great everyday and never itches on any rocks. Looked worse in the mornings, then by the end of the day almost looked normal, and repeated daily TIA, want to make sure i minimize the damage now because i want my DT back up to par |

If you put a fish that had ich in your DT it more than likely has ich and any fish you put in there will catch it. Your DT must go fallow 6-8 weeks to get ich out of the tank. 8 weeks will encompass 99.9% of cases.
