Lighting
I just switched over from my 75g to a 150g with some a mix of LPS and SPS. I am running 2 VHO's and 2 175w MH. The tank in 24inch high and seems that the light isn't getting through the water to well. I was thinking about changing to 2 400w MH. Is this too much? What is everyone else running that have tall tanks?
Thanks |

400w probably too much. I am just now upgrading from a 24" to a 30" and purchased 400w because most of what I read stated 30" and higher user 400w
250w would be my guess for a 24" tank. Do you have old bulbs? |

OH - and if the width of the tank has changed - you might want to move the lights around.

If it's a 6' tank, I'd go with 3x250 mh.

Yup, you'll need one MH for every 2 feet. I'm going with 2 250W on my 90G upgrade.
