I have a Turbofloter 1000 & I feel your money could be spent better if purchasing new. While mine works & I have a very light bio-load, they are very tempermental. It seems the best money spent these days would be a MSX/Octopus or Vertex. You can resell one of these for probably a $50 loss if your not happy. The turbofloter on the other hand are tough to resell.

i agree, if your tank is going to have a light bioload, fed lightly, with lots of live rock and sand, then maybe....i had a 1000 on my 75 and it worked okay but now that i have an octo 200 the turbofloater is garbage compared to it

Hey Icefire you should be pulling more than 1000 ml a week from a system your size. Is your venturi clean? You should be pulling around 300+ ml a day and I don't mean wet skimmate either.

hairyman1 well it's BLACK skimmate, not light green, very potent.
I just changed the way it was installed, and cleaned and within 2 minutes I had 2 inch of foam on the head.

It's running with an Aquabee pump.
