Question Sump or no sump on 37g?

Hey all,

Im not exactly new to aquariums but I wanted everyone's opinion on whether or not I should use a sump oin a 37g tank? Its a glass tankm undrilled, and I was going to use a canister filter (not yet bought) with an Octopus100 skimmer (already bought).

If I did use a sump, Im not sure Id even be able to use a standard tank because the inside dimensions of the stand are 27" L x 10" W (deep), thus would need to order a custom sump.

Would I be fine using filters and the Octo 100 on a sumpless tank?

TIA
Dan

Could you not fit a 10 gallon tank underneath it? You could get by without a sump. I personally would go with a sump. I like it because you can put the heater and skimmer ect. and keep it out of sight. It also gives you more water volume for a more stable tank enviroment.

Would a 10g even be worth it?

Sure would. Any increase in water volume provides extra volume to the system and improves circulation. I know a 10 doesn't sound like much but your tank is small too.
