astrea snails, conchs, maybe small sandsifter like yellow watchman or two spot gobie, or better water flow across sandbed. My foxface will eat any kind of algae.

Old bulbs (8-9months)
Bad RODI Water (Get it tested)
Feeding frozen foods (knock it off)
Add more flow (Too much is never enough)

Main contributers to cyanobacteria.

Can you expand you thoughts on frozen foods?

No Rods? No rinsed Mysis?

I target feed mysis to some corals and most everything loves Rods.

Lets look at what rods is comprised of:

Shrimp, Scallop, Oyster, Clam, Squid, Octopus, Brine, Krill, Mysis, Grouper (or perch), Red Nori, green Nori, Broccoli, carrot, Frozen red plankton, Golden pearl (7 sizes), DTs Oyster eggs, Selco, Fresh hatched brine, Freshly harvested rotifers.

That is a a shopping cart of food.

Trying not to sound like I am bashing the product it's just too much food.

What gets eaten will break down, what doesn't get eaten will break down.

It's awesome stuff if it used very sparingly.

Mysis is okay, better rinsed. Still adds to the problem.

Target feeding is totally different than willy nilly feeding the tank.

Let Me Grow what kind of foods do you feed? I would like to get away from frozen but the everything in tank sure seems to love it.

New Life Spectrum Pellets.
Ocean Nutrition Formula 2 Flakes.

Those are the staples.

You can find cyclopese, Rods, Hikari mysis, and some spirulina enriched brine in my freezer tho. For special occasions and hollidays

I added more flow last night I'm thinking that was my problem because it only grew in places where there were not any good flow.
