Depends on which pistol shrimp you choose.

Shouldn't be a problem, but prepare to have the sandbed moved around...ALOT!

What pistol shrimps can be kept with cleaner shrimps? I was under the assumption that pistol shrimp eat other shrimps like cleaners.

Stay away from the bullseye pistol, I have one and can tell you from first hand experience it will kill a cleaner shrimp. It is larger than the pistols that host with gobies. They have purple claws and a yellow body.

I have had a couple different kinds with cleaners with no problems.

They are amazing little creatures! I just never found the right one to pair up with either of my gobies...

This is great news I was all down thinking I couldn't have cleaners and a tiger and after reading this thread it appears they will get along fine.

Just got a Tiger Pistol and an Orangespot Goby they were already paired at the LFS. That is one busy shrimp in 2 days he has dug 4 different dens. This is the nicest for viewing except if you will notice the little orange softie frag right above the goby. Only the tip was showing today when I got home from work buried under a pile of sand!

Great news! Thanks for the advice everyone. My LFS is having a sale this weekend, and I was interested in getting a pistol shrimp. Thanks for all the advice.
