Live Rock - How soon is too soon?

Ordered 100# of LR last week. It has been curing for a little under a week. It is still producing ammonia due to the amount of stuff on the rock that still has to die off. I am guessing I have about two more weeks.

There are a couple of real choice pieces I would like to add to the tank now, to get the benefit of the quality lighting and a little more stable conditions.

How much risk is there if I were to add one piece, say about 3-5lbs to the main system. It has little plant life or detritus on it.

My main system is 175g with a total water volume of about 275g.

I would just wait it out and be patient, its too big of a risk to not wait.. This entire hobby is about patience and here is a good time to prove that.

+1, I honestly don't think that it would do any damage in an established system, but it would disturb the balance of nutrients in the system, possibly causing an algae bloom, which, further disturbs the balance.
